Royal Enfield’s motorcycles will be assembled in Nepal

Royal Enfield’s motorcycles will be assembled in Nepal too. Triveni Group, the official distributor of Royal Enfield Motorcycles for Nepal, has set up an assembly plant in the country to produce motorcycles. For which he has registered the industry. According to the Department of Industry, TG Auto Group Pvt Ltd has been registered with the Department of Industry for assembling motorcycles. Alfa Automotives Pvt Ltd under that group has been doing business by importing these motorcycles since last April.

The group has proposed to invest Rs 38 crore in the industry through TG Auto Group to assemble motorcycles. It is said that the industry will be established in Jitpur sub-metropolitan ward number 9 of Bara. This new industry aims to assemble 8,000 motorcycles annually.

After starting business as a new distributor, the price of this motorcycle, which was hit by the tax increase, has increased by a large amount since then, and it has also had to face the problem of anti-restriction for the past 4 months. There is data that this brand sells up to 7,000 units of motorcycles annually in the Nepalese market.

It can be easily assumed that the company is going to set up an assembly unit in Nepal after it becomes difficult to do business due to the price increase and the ban. At present, the government has not put any restrictions on the import of kits required for assembly, while bringing such kits and assembling them in the country, it has been providing discounts and other concessions.

At present, Bajaj and TVS are producing motorcycles in Nepal through their own assembly plants, while brands such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Veshpa and Aprilia have already registered their industries. Wanki brand has also started preparations to register the industry.
