Future with Electric Vehicles

The global market for electric vehicles (EV)  is expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 21.7%. It is expected to increase from 8.1 million units to 39.21 million units by 2030. Various factors, including pollution concerns, are driving this exponential growth. Governments around the world are encouraging the electric vehicles  industry with subsidies and regulations, and consumers are demanding low-emission commuting instead of the fossil-fuel-powered vehicles that are threatening our planet.

Tesla has been one of the most successful EV companies/brands in the world, but others, such as Mercedes-Benz, Tata, MG, GM, Audi, Hyundai, Nissan, BMW, and Renault, have also launched EVs that are being well received by customers in various markets.

According to the Department of Customs, battery-powered cars, jeeps and vans valued at an all-time high of Rs5.32 billion entered Nepal in 2021-22. The government’s policy to accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation is a driving force behind Nepal’s EV push.

There is no doubt that EVs are the future of driving and mobility, and while newer materials in battery chemistry may be used, and innovations will continue, the trend is irreversible for the following reasons: According to dealers, rising gasoline prices have also prompted people to consider switching to battery-powered vehicles.

1. Significant cost savings on running and maintenance:

Running and maintenance costs are a significant part of any vehicle’s ownership cost, and it is now well established that EV buyers spend much less on fuel/energy and maintenance, because EVs have fewer moving parts than a gasoline engine, making it easier to maintain. EVs have very few parts that may break or need any repair or replacement. As a result, there is no need to change the engine oil, making it easier to maintain electric cars at a lower cost.

2.Eco-friendly CO2 emissions savings:

Switching to electric mobility will help India save nearly one gigatonne of CO2 emissions by 2030. Every electric vehicle on the road helps to reduce harmful air pollution for future generations. The entire world is fighting global warming and drastic climate change, which is increasing conflicts and political tensions between nations. This is a great initiative toward reducing the ecological damage and boosting public health. The lesser exhaustion of harmful emissions will lead to better air quality, which means fewer health problems.

3.Amazing driving experience by reducing fatigue and stress:

Because electric vehicles lack gears, they provide an excellent driving experience with no complicated controls. To manage and enjoy a calm, convenient, safe, and noise-free ride, simply accelerate, brake, and steer. Another advantage of driving an electric vehicle is that it produces less noise. In comparison to internal combustion engines and their exhaust systems, electric motors are extremely quiet.

4.Convenient charging:

Electric vehicles use electricity to charge their batteries rather than fossil fuels such as gasoline or diesel. With more EV battery charging stations popping up, users will be able to charge their batteries at a nearby station rather than waiting in long lines at CNG stations or petrol pumps.

5.Better Performance
Electric cars are not only lighter but have faster acceleration. Owning an electric vehicle is like giving our planet a high five.

Electric vehicles are the way of the future! Manufacturers are putting more effort into transitioning from traditional vehicles to electric vehicles. There are numerous advantages to owning an electric vehicle with the appropriate level of functionality and infrastructure. With so many advantages, this could be the year to purchase a battery-powered vehicle. Consider going electric!
