Nepal has added over 800000 individuals or entities to its taxpayers’ list in one year, according to the Ministry of Finance. According to the ministry, the overall number of taxpayers increased from four million and 461,027 in mid-July 2021 to five million and 265,442 in mid-July 2022.
The number includes people and entities registered with permanent account numbers (PANs), value-added tax (VAT) numbers and excise duty payment systems.
