The market opened at 1,922.16 points and rose steadily throughout the trading session. The daily turnover was Rs 1.54 billion, which was 72 percent higher than the previous trading day.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of blue chip companies, increased by 8.09 points as well. Except for mutual funds, the remaining trading groups’ average market values increased. Among individual companies, NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha had the largest transactions of its shares worth Rs 101.49 million. Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost gainer while Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited Promoter shares lost the largest percent in its market price.
