Nepse slides 4.87 points down daily turnover also falls below Rs 1 billion on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) fell 4.87 points to close at 1,933.88 points.
The secondary market opened at 1,938.76 points and fell to a low of 1,922.3 points for the day. During the trading hours, the market rose as high as 1,943.64 points before falling back roughly 10 points to close for the day.
The daily turnover fell from Rs 1.67 billion on Monday to Rs 965.21 million. In intraday trade, 109 firms had their market value fall, while 78 saw their share prices rise. Nepse slides 4.87 points down
The sensitive index, which monitors the performance of blue chip businesses, fell 1.56 points as well. Three of the 13 sub-groups gained in share prices, including microfinance, others, and life insurance, while the remaining ten trading groups dropped.
Shivam Cements made the greatest sale of its shares for Rs 81.23 million among individual companies. NMB Bank Limited was the biggest loser, while Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited earned the most market value.
