For the first time in the country’s history, the first president of Nepal, Ramvaran Yadav, signed and approved the “Constitution of Nepal 2072” from the Constituent Assembly consisting of people’s representatives, and the 65-year-old aspiration of the people to make a constitution through people’s elected representatives has come true.

The ‘Federal Republic’ of Nepal has moved forward on the path of law and republican governance by the Constitution of Nepal 2072. This constitution which was announced on October 3, 2072 i.e. on this day, 2063 Paush 1, N.K.P. In accordance with the draft constitution signed by 8 parties including the Maoists, the interim constitution issued on January 1, 2063 was replaced and the full constitution was issued.

After the First Constituent Assembly could not give a successful draft of the Constitution within the stipulated time, the election of the Second Constituent Assembly and its influence played a big role in the declaration of the Constitution of Nepal 2072. Restructuring the state as a federal republic of Nepal with a total of 7 provinces and transforming the previous constitutional monarchy into a republic and a unitary state structure into a federal state, this constitution has arranged for two types of parliament, one in each province and one in the center. This constitution, which has made it easy to get citizenship with the gender identity you want, has continued the abolition of the death penalty like the 2047 constitution. This constitution, which has provided equal rights to daughters in the ancestral property like sons, is strongly in favor of gender empowerment in every way and has described the nation of Nepal as a secular nation.

This constitution, which was approved by the Constituent Assembly to fulfill the aspirations of sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity through a ‘federal republican’ governance system, preserves Nepal’s independence, sovereignty, geographical integrity, national unity, independence and self-respect, and the people’s sovereign rights, autonomy and self- Embracing the authority of the government, the self-will of the Nepali people for national interest, democracy and forward-looking change commemorates the glorious history of historical people’s movement, armed struggle, sacrifice and sacrifice and honors the known unknown martyrs and the missing and suffering citizens.

The Pride
