No airplane mode in airplane EU has given permission. Passengers will soon be able to use their mobile phones and use the Internet inside the aircraft flying within the European Union (EU) member countries. These facilities are going to be added to the airlines that are affiliated to the European Commission.
Passengers no longer have to keep their mobile phones in airplane mode while flying. According to the BBC, how this service will be implemented is not clearly disclosed. Countries within the European Union have been instructed to provide the 5G frequency band in aircraft by 30 June 2023.
After that, passengers will be able to take telephone and internet services from the flying ship. Some airlines are currently testing internet services during flights. However, the internet is slower on the plane than in other situations.
Since the people on the plane have to rely on satellite devices to reach the ground, the speed of the internet is slow. But since the new system is based on 5G technology, there is talk that it will be better than the previous service.
It is also claimed that this technology will not cause any problems in the aircraft and that the airplane made era will end.
The EU Commission has reserved certain frequency bands for aircraft since 2008, allowing some services to offer mid-air internet access.
But this service has been historically slow, as it relied on equipment to connect people via a satellite between the airplane and the ground.
