Taliban spokesman Inamullah Samangani said that the ban on TikTok and PUBG was necessary to “prevent the younger generation from being misled”, the BBC had previously reported.
According to media reports, the ban was announced during a meeting with representatives from the security sector and the Sharia law enforcement administration, citing an announcement by the telecommunications department.
The Taliban announced in a conference with officials from the security sector and sharia law administrators that both apps would be banned in Afghanistan within the time frame, according to Khaama Press.
