A First Person View (FPV) Robotics Competition took place in Nepal for the first time. 15 teams competed in the FPV ground race competition yesterday at the Texas International College Mitrapark in the capital. The primary project of the GBS team and Texas Education Network co-organization. The theme of the competition is surveillance and rescue.
Every team must have at least four members, according to the rules. The winning team received a medal, trophy, and certificate, as well as Rs 25,000 in cash. Likewise, the second-place team will receive a medal, trophy, and certificate, as well as ten thousand rupees in cash. The winning team was from the college of Biratnagar named “The Destructor”. According to the organizers, participants will be given a second chance to redeem in addition to the winning and runner-up teams.
Under which the winning team will receive 5,000 rupees.
For this competition, the robot must be able to navigate various terrains and difficulties such as gravel roads, sandy roads, water, tunnels, and so on.
A group of technology enthusiasts founded by the GBS team E. Ganesh Vikram Singh Ali and E. Yagya Prasad Devkota. The Nepal Army is using the Bomb Disposal Robot made by this team. Also, this team is working on research and development in robotics, IoT, automation, and other areas.
This is a great opportunity for teams to show their creativity. Hence, it is the Robotics competition held for the first time in Nepal based on ‘First Person’s View’ FPV.
