Advance ticket sales for those wishing to return home for Dashain will begin on September 17.

The most important festival for Nepalis begins on September 26. While the biggest day of the biggest festival falls on October 5 this year, according to the lunar calendar, the 15-day festival will end on October 9.

The decision was made at a meeting of government and private stakeholders, including transportation entrepreneurs, according to Tok Raj Pandey, the chief of the Department of Transport Management.

The government has urged all passengers to report any problems they may be experiencing at these help desks.
It also states that transport operators who overcharge passengers will face harsh penalties.

The government has urged everyone to check the standard rates before booking tickets, as it receives complaints every year during this time about bus operators overcharging passengers.

To prevent this, the Department of Transport Management has set up 14 help desks throughout the valley to assist people in booking tickets in advance.
These service desks can be found in the following locations: New Buspark, Machhapokhari, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Nagdhunga, Balkhu, Dakshinkali, Satdobato, Koteshwor, Jagati, Chabahil, Gaushala, Sundhara, and Old Buspark.

These help desks will be staffed by transport entrepreneurs, traffic cops, community police, and officials from the Department of Transportation Management.

The government has urged all passengers to report any problems to these help desks. It also states that strict action will be taken against transport operators who overcharge passengers.
