Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Event

Samsung’s most recent Galaxy Unpacked event included the expected announcements of two foldable devices, new smartwatches, and enhancements to the Galaxy Buds Pro line. Although the company’s announcements did not surprise many, the changes appear to be general quality improvements. However, as always, complete product reviews will determine whether or not these updates are noticeably better. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 looks similar to its predecessor and still flips down like older flip phones. There are, however, a few new software tricks, such as rapid charging, which can charge a phone up to 50% in around 30 minutes, and selfie previews, which appear on the cover screen with the same aspect ratio as the image itself. More information on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 can be found here. Preorders for the phone begin at $999 today, and it will be available on August 26.

Samsung aimed to improve on the Galaxy Watch 4 series’ short battery life with larger batteries in the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. It also has a body temperature sensor, which is expected to be added to the Apple Watch this year. Preorders for the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are now available, and shipments will begin on August 26.

The updated Galaxy Buds 2 from Samsung are 15% smaller than the originals and feature 24-bit hi-fi audio through Bluetooth. However, those improvements come at a larger cost; the new Galaxy Buds Pro cost $229.99, which is a $30 increase. They are currently available for preorder before their August 26th release.
