However, Dinesh Raj Mainali, a spokesman for the District Police Range of Kathmandu, claims that the police disclosed the location of the hotel where the alleged crime allegedly occurred in order to expedite police procedure.
According to Nepal Police spokesperson Tek Prasad Rai, a 17-year-old girl filed a complaint against Lamichhane at the Gaushala police circle on Tuesday, accusing him of coercing her into having sex with him in front of her guardian.
The victim was taken to a crisis management center by the police for a medical examination, according to a Facebook post from the District Police Range of Kathmandu.As of Wednesday night, the medical report had not yet been received.

Later that evening, they departed Nagarkot for Kathmandu and checked into a hotel there because the hostel she was staying at had closed.
The victim claims that Lamichhane violated her sexually at the hotel they stayed at after returning to Kathmandu.
The victim and cricketer Lamichhane had stayed in hotels in Nagarkot and Kathmandu on August 21. The police confiscated the hotels’ CCTV footage.
Bharat Bohara, the District Police Range Kathmandu’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), confirmed that Lamichhane and the victim had both checked into the hotel.
According to Bohora, who spoke to the Post, “CCTV footage shows that Lamichhane was with the girl who has accused him of raping her in the hotel room.”
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the nation’s governing body for cricket, declined to comment on whether it would discipline the captain of the team.
CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand was unavailable for comment, but General Secretary Prashant Bikram Malla said on late Wednesday night that President Chand had just arrived in Kathmandu from Dhangadhi and that they would talk about the matter later in the evening.
To compete in the Caribbean Premier League, Lamichhane is currently in Trinidad & Tobago. He competed for his country in the ODI and T20 series against Kenya.
