The registration period for EDV Lottery 2024 Program will be between October and November 2022 AD. We encourage DV applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible. The DV-2024 Program’s online registration period begins on Wednesday, October 6, 2022 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4) and ends on Tuesday, November 9, 2022 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST) (GMT- 5).
Inorder to register for DV (Diversity Visa) lottery , you must provide the following information
- Last name, first name(s)
- Date, place, and country of birth
- Address
- Passport information (number, country of issue, and expiry date of the passport)
- Marital status
- if applicable, information on children and spouse
- Photo (of yourself and any dependents)
- The highest degree of education
Important notice for EDV Lottery 2024 :
Each person may only participate once per year in the Diversity Visa Lottery! If you submit more than one form, you will be automatically disqualified!
How To Apply EDV Lottery 2024:
Important Information for Interested Applicants:
- Application Fee. There is no charge for participating in the DV program.
- No need for a consultant: The US Embassy advises you not to seek the help of a consultant when applying. If you need help with the application, consider seeking the help of a family member, friend, or other trusted person. You will be responsible for your own application regardless of the support provided.
- Form to be filled online: Applicants for the2023 Diversity Visa Program will need to go to www.dvlottery.state.gov during the registration period and fill out the Electronic Diversity Visa (E-DV) application form.
- Disclosure of Family Details: When registering you must list your spouse and all unmarried children under the age of 21 at the time of application. Applications submitted without including them will be considered invalid.
- One application per person: You only need to submit one application. Applicants who submit more than one application will be disqualified from the program.
- Recently taken photo: If the photo used in the previous year’s DV application is used in this year’s application, the application will be disqualified. The rules regarding photos should be strictly followed and submitted in a way that matches the right people included in each photo application.
Note:
- Applicants should not wear glasses when taking a photo.
- Restoration, Expired Passport Details Required. This year’s application must include the passport number of the main applicant, the country of issue, and the expiration date of the passport.
- Be sure to save and print your confirmation
- Do not give your confirmation number to anyone.
- Result of DV 2023 & 2024: The only way to determine if you have been selected for DV is to go to www.dvlottery.state.gov and then enter your confirmation number.
- Applicants must provide their email address when registering the application. However, selected people are not sent an email notifying that they have been selected.
- This does not guarantee that you will get a visa by opting for DV. If you have the opportunity to be interviewed for a visa, the consular officer will determine if you have the required qualifications and if you are eligible for DV under U.S. immigration.
