Sanjivani Kendra is a Non-Governmental Organization working in the field of Drug and Alcohol since 2012. The organization works against drug/Alcohol addiction. And helps to create an awareness program through 12 steps in addition to a harm reduction and after care program. Also free health camp. Sanjivani Kendra is a voluntary, non-profit organization which is located in Dharan-13, Sunsari, Nepal.
In the process of rehabilitation program, it started a “Peer Recovery Guidance” modality based on the “Love and Concern” approach since October 2012. This stresses on detoxification through psycho social method with or without medication. “Restructuring of thinking patterns”, “emotional management stability”, “behavioral reshaping”, “capacity building”, “Spiritual healing” and “Re-integration into society.
The center has adopted a holistic approach to rehabilitate youth who have deviated from their responsibility to the society by using different types of drugs and alcohol. Taking into consideration the health of drug users, the center has arranged separate Medical Unit and Detoxification Unit. They concern to ensure better health along with making users self-dependent. As for their better hearth they provide users with yoga nutritious food and physical training. And to make the independent they provide them with various skill oriented trainings.
Its plan is to co operate with schools and community service centers. And publish and distribute pamphlets and brochures for awareness. Similarly, it plans to produce and broadcast television programs, social medias and develop the center as a research center and open branch offices. Similarly, more facilities will be added to the center so that it becomes self-dependent and create a niche in the society.
