Festival of curd

It’s the month of Ashar, the starting month of the monsoon season. Also, today, Ashar 15 is known as National Paddy Day. On this day, farmers are encouraged for their hard work and celebrate the crop planting festival. On this day Nepali people eat curd and beaten rice. It symbolizes the end of the rice planting period, a day when all farmers enjoy the completion of the plantation and wish for good production. This trend started as a majority of people used to do farming for living and they would plant crops.
