18 years old young boy Bikalpa Panti from Kathmandu is participating in Mental Calculation World Cup.Panti is the first Nepali to Participate in this competition .The Mental Calculation World Cup is an international competition for mental calculators, held every two years in Germany.Panti got selected among the top 40 human calculators from the world.
Mental Calculations World Championship
Metal Calculation World Championship is organized by Germany every 2 years .Around 40 of the top calculators of all ages compete in standard and surprise events.The Mental Calculation World Cup was planned to take place on 21–23 August 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to be postponed.
It is now planned to be held on 15-17 July 2022 at Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (world’s largest computer museum) in Paderborn, Germany.
The first Mental Calculation World Cup was held in Annaberg-Buchholz, Germany on 30 October 2004. There were 17 participants from 10 countries.
The best mental calculators from all over the world are invited to the 9th Mental Calculation World Cup.
Date: 15-17 July 2022
Venue: Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, the world’s largest computer museum in Paderborn, Germany
Schedule and rules: Each mental calculator will have to solve tasks in different categories (addition, multiplication, extracting roots, calendar from memory and surprise tasks).
Titles and Prizes: All participants will receive certificates. Successful record attempts will be registered as world record.
The participant with the best total score will be awarded the title “World cup champion – combination”. The participant with the best score in the surprise tasks will be awarded the title “World cup champion – most versatile calculator”.
The winners in the categories “addition”, “multiplication”, “extracting roots” and “calendar calculation” will be awarded the title “World cup champion for (category)”.
Problems to solve: Examples for problems to be solved in previous competitions can be found at the bottom of the results list of the years 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 , 2012, 2014 , 2016 and 2018.
