A new tab is added to facebook and now the news feed of Facebook will be seen in two parts. Facebook has announced that this feature will be available on both iOS and Android platforms. The Facebook home page is divided into two sections as a result of this.
Now, in the home section, where we see all the posts, Facebook’s algorithm will display reels, stories, and other content based on our preferences, whereas the other feed tab will be completely different.
The user will be able to see posts from friends who have been added to their account. As well as groups they have joined, Facebook pages they have liked, and other content. It will not include posts that have been suggested to you. According to a statement issued by Meta, this feed can be pinned. This update will be available to users worldwide by next week.
However, some users have already reported receiving this feature. “One of the most frequently requested features for Facebook is the ability to ensure that people do not miss their friends’ posts,” Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. This includes the home feed, where the post algorithms you require will appear.”
In this way, it is clear that Meta is attempting to emulate Facebook Tiktok by breaking the home feed and introducing a separate feed tab.Tiktok has made it possible for you to see recommended content in one feed and content posted by your friends in another. This does not preclude friends’ posts from appearing on the home tab.
The home feed will remain unchanged. However, in the newly added feed, posts from your friends, groups you’ve joined, and pages you follow will be displayed separately.
Sponsored and suggested posts will be highlighted in the home feed.
