Indrajatra festival

The Indrajatra festival which is held in the name of Indra, the god of rain and time, has started in Hanumandhoka Durbar area of Kathmandu. Indradhvajotthan of IndraJatra festival  has been performed this morning.
According to the Nepal Panchyang Committee, Sandeep Khanal, Head of the Office of Hanuman Dhoka Darbar Care Base, informed that the lingo of Indrajatra was erected this morning at 6:51 a.m. Although the main festival will take place on Sunday, dances in honor of various gods and goddesses began today.
Devraj Aryal, the office’s main priest, performed puja and Havan rituals, as well as Indradhvajotthan on an auspicious occasion.
Sharduljang Gulm of the Nepali Army performed Mangal Dhun alongside Dhime Baja on this occasion.This morning, in addition to Indradhvajotthan, Goddess Dance is being performed in the Basantpur Darbar area.

From today until October 8th, 19 different types of dances will be performed in the Basantpur area.

On the occasion of Indra Jatra, dances are performed from various locations throughout the valley, including Bhaktapur, Halchok, and the Vasantpur Durbar area. The Kumari is made to travel to the lower toll on Sunday after the Indradhvajotthan, the main day of the Jatra. On October 4, there will be a trip to the upper toll.

The chariots of Shri Ganesha, Shri Bhairav ​​and Shri Kumari have been repaired in preparation for the Jatra. The organizers have said that the main day of Indra Jatra, when all the three chariots will be launched, will be the participation of President Vidya Devi Bhandari at the Basantpur Darbar area on October 3.

The program of Indrajatra started on Wednesday 23rd Bhadra at 10:52 in the morning by going to the forest. Lingo Nagar was entered from Bhotahiti at 10:34 am on August 29th.
