When will you go home this Dashain?

The number of people returning home from Kathmandu valley has rapidly increased in the bus park area for Dashain.
Passengers have been waiting in line for hours in the hopes of obtaining a ticket. Even so, it is not decided to purchase a ticket.

Despite standing in line for four hours people are not getting tickets.

Since early this morning, people have been queuing to buy tickets in Kathmandu’s Naya Bus Park area. The line went in circles. The majority of those in line complained about their inability to take it.

Before entering the ticket booth, police officers are stationed at the narrow gate. Passengers are only allowed in after being questioned. Those who enter there are trapped. Women, men, children, and the elderly are all in the same line.
A young woman in line for a ticket  wished there was a separate line for women so she wouldn’t have to suffer as much.

The deployment of policemen has been increased in the bus park area with the aim of preventing possible pick pocketing, theft and other incidents during the rush hour. The traffic police has operated a passenger assistance room. But the suffering of the passengers has not decreased.
