The 6th Day of Dashain is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani.She sits in abhaya and varada mudras (gestures). with abhaya and varada mudras (gestures). She is depicted with four hands, holding a lotus flower and a sword (khadga). Goddess Katyayani rides a tiger. This day falls on the Shasthi Tithi.
In Hindu scriptures, Goddess Katyayani is described as a symbol of bravery. According to the scriptures, Goddess Katyayani came to this world to stop obstacles from demonic demons while performing good deeds and good deeds such as sacrifice and begging.
Mata Bhavani was born in the ashram of sage Katyayan to demonstrate her devotion. She then agreed to be the daughter of the sage Katyayan. Katyayana, like Janaki, the daughter of Rajarshi Janaka, is named Katyayani, the daughter of a sage.
It is mentioned in the scriptures alongside Goddess Bhagwat that Goddess Katyayani killed a demon by driving on a very powerful lion. Goddess Katyayani is thought to be Mata Parvati’s photovoltaic incarnation
There is a spiritual belief that by worshiping the Goddess during Dashain, one will gain energy, prosperity, and knowledge.
