Eight polling stations in Myagdi are by women. Women are in charge of eight polling stations in the Myagdi district. According to the chief returning officer’s office, female returning officers have been assigned to eight of the 120 polling locations.

According to Assistant Returning Officer Tej Prasad Paudel, the move is intended to make polling places for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly inclusive. The election is set for November 20. The polling station in Beni Municipality-2 is staffed entirely by women, including the returning officer and assistant returning officer.

Mukti Marga Secondary School, Ghar (B), Takam Secondary School, Takam (A), Ram Chandra Secondary School, Arjam, Rastriya Secondary School, Neptechaur (B), Janapriya Secondary School, Darbang (A), Himal Basic School Patlekhet, temporary center prison, and Mangala Secondary School, Babiyahcaur are among the polling centers with female returning officers.

This has boosted the number of female election workers. “I am delighted to have been given this responsibility for the elections,” said Returning Officer Ambika Sharma. Meanwhile, the Office of the Chief Returning Officer has urged everyone to make polling places accessible to people with disabilities. Eight polling stations in Myagdi are by women.
