Mayor Balen Shah Announces No Parking Fees for Business Parking Spots: A Boost for Local Commerce

If the commercial buildings charge parking fees from the service users, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City will immediately hold a hearing. Although the Financial Act 2080 of Kathmandu Metropolis stipulates that no parking fee can be charged from the service users, the liaison officer has been appointed to hear the complaint.

For this, complaints can be made by calling City Police Inspector Dharma Bhandari at 9851051610. The Economic Act 2080 stipulates that private marts, restaurants, shopping complexes, hospitals and other health service providers cannot charge a fee for parking their vehicles.

Even though the city police team went to such places to inform about the implementation of the system, after receiving complaints that the service users had to pay the fee, the metropolis made arrangements to listen to the complaints through the contact officer.
