KATHMANDU: The leader of our city, Mayor Balen, has a clever idea to stop a sickness called dengue. Dengue comes from mosquitoes that make people sick. The Mayor wants to use a special bug medicine called “bio larvicide” to stop baby mosquitoes from growing up. This medicine is friendly to our planet and doesn’t hurt us or other animals.
The bug medicine will be put in water where mosquitoes lay their eggs. When baby mosquitoes eat this medicine, they cannot grow up and become sick bugs. This will help us not get dengue and other bad bug sicknesses.
If you need help or information about dengue, you can call the free number 1180 anytime. And if someone is very sick and needs to go to the hospital, they can call 102 for a free ambulance. The hospital also has special medicine to help sick people feel better.
Mayor Balen’s new plan is a great way to keep us safe from dengue and make our city healthier.
