Unidentified vandals attempt setting fire to election candidate’s car in Madi. An attempt was made to set fire to Thakur Prasad Dhakal’s vehicle, a candidate for the Province Assembly from Chitwan Electoral Constituency No. 3. (2).
According to Vijay Raj Pandit, spokesman for the District Police Office in Chitwan, an attempt was made to set fire to the Scorpio jeep (Bagmati Province 06-001 – 0001), which is being used for election campaigning.
According to him, 2 unknown youths who came on a motorcycle wearing masks, sprayed petrol and set it on fire at 6 o’clock this morning. It has been said that the fire was extinguished by the water pump connected to the house as soon as the fire was discovered. There was no damage to the vehicle.
