Petrol price is the highest of all time. Nepal is selling oil at a very high rate while other countries have reasonable rates. Nepal oil corporation has set a very high oil price. The following table can illustrate the current scenario of oil prices.
The government has increased the prices of petroleum products massively effective from midnight Sunday. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petrol by Rs 21 and diesel and kerosene by Rs 27.
The price of petrol is Rs 199 per liter and the price of diesel and kerosene is Rs 192 per liter with the new price coming into the effect.
Similarly, aviation fuel has reached up to Rs.182 per liter(domestic) and US dollar(USD) 1,645 per kilo liter (international).
However, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas(LPG) is still the same. The cost of LPG gas cylinder is Rs 1800.
The Russia-Ukraine war has affected the international fuel market. According to the corporation, the prices were adjusted in the line with the international market.
