A campaign launched to clean up the city’s untidy wires. Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal (ISPAN), the umbrella organization of Internet service providers, has started to manage the city’s messy wires again from today. ISPAN has started the wire management work from the area around Singha Durbar.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ISPAN, Subas Khadka informed that the wire management work started at 8 am in collaboration with Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Traffic Police Office (Kathmandu Valley), Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal Telecom and related internet service providers. A campaign launched to clean up the city’s untidy wires.

“ISPAN has been managing wires in various parts of the country as a short-term solution by arranging the wires used to provide essential internet services on the basis of priority, keeping in mind the city’s beauty and risk reduction,” he said, “Currently, the wires are being managed in Baggikhana area via Putlisadak, New Plaza. The work has been completed.’

He also said that the wire management work did not affect the internet service.
