RSP Chairman Lamichhane makes his campaign spending public. Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has made his election costs public. Lamichhane stated on Facebook that his election costs totaled Rs 1.18 million.
He did, however, reveal that extra office supplies purchased for future usage are not considered. He was elected to the House of Representatives by a large margin from Chitwan Constituency No. 2.
Lamichhane has stated that he will explain his election spending before or during the ceremonial swearing-in event.
“On the day or before the official swearing-in ceremony, I will make public the exact details of my election expenses and details of my assets,” he wrote on Facebook.
Candidates were allowed to spend between Rs 2.5 million and Rs 3.3 million, according to the Election Commission (EC). He claimed to have spent half of the permissible amount. During his term, Lamichhane has stated that he will not take any accolade, award, or gift.
