Many analysts believe Lionel Messi has been at his best in all competitions save the World Cup. Argentina was eliminated in the quarterfinals of both the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, despite Messi’s best efforts.
Messi has the opportunity to make an impression on the biggest platform of them all at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Messi scored a spectacular goal in Argentina’s first game against Bosnia and Herzegovina. He contributed four goals to Argentina’s World Cup victory.
